What is it about?
The players operate in a manufacturing company that
produces battery packs for the electrical supply of
private homes and commercial clients.
In the team, the players act in the roles of purchasing, production,
Disposition and sales. You try to lead the company to a positive
EBIT result and create the turnaround.
Required is team spirit, logistical expertise and the look to
the fulfillment of customer needs!
The simulation is particularly suitable for students, trainees and
professionals who take a chance to deepen their expierence
in supply chain management. Dealing with complexity,
the removal of blinkers and intensive teamwork are a
guarantee for success.
The simulation is offered in german and english.
In the 6 roles of purchasing, order scheduling, sub- and final assembly,
delivery processing and sales, participants need to purchase the right quantities,
optimize production batches, ensure internal delivery commitments
and serve customers reliability. You should keep an eye on costs and
sales, due to owners expectations for return rates inline with the market
expectations. Integrated into the simulation is a manual with numerous
technical content, tutorials, rules, links, etc. Direct access to the manual
helps in reaching the right conclusions for the numerous decisions to be made.
How is the gaming working?
3- 6 participants play on a web-based platform
as employees of a company, the number of people involved
groups is not limited. The simulation goes on for three fiscal years.
In an "early and late shift" they alternate tasks. The paticipants can
work asynchronous - in other words time-shifted, or work together
parallel in one shift from any location at the same time.
Who is winning?
At the end of the fiscal year 3, the teams compare in the
Financial report the achieved EBIT (earnings
before interest and taxes) and the EVA (economic value added),
the team with the highest EVA will be the winner.
